We recently went to Golden Unicorn and were pleasantly surprised. Our experience was great and didn't have any of the negatives of previous reviews. The service was courteous and quick, the food was tasty and reasonably priced, and we would recommend it! There was a good variety of options, including multiple sushis, a Pho station (which is super unusual and great!) and a mongolian grill station as well. I loved the fried chicken wings, BBQ ribs and BBQ chicken. In terms of service, the buffet and tables were very clean, and servers were always available. Overall, there is clear attention to ambiance despite prices being very fair! A couple of quirks: the layout of the buffet is a bit unusual - not really parallel stations but more like a pathway. But there is enough space to move around. Soy sauce and others are not available at your table but rather at a station. Given how few good buffets there are in Richmond, we were delighted to see Golden Unicorn as a new entrant. We will definitely come again!

This place looks nice but the food options are limited and the food doesn’t taste good. We got one serving and barely ate anything. They tried to sit us in the back away from everyone. The server never came to give us a refill on drinks. Not what I expected. They’re not going to last.

One of my granddaughters pick this place .Our first visit here was cool,slight delay in openning but worth it.The food was good.In most buffets I go to I hit the seafood first,I live crabs not sure how Sam knew he said you go to crab legs first,they also had whole steamed crabs. He showed me around I felt like somebody important lol😊Usually at the crab legs,but here they were juicy.Favoring of all that I eat was on point.The service was great.This place Happen to be where the first TGI Fridays was open and I was on the team that open it back in the day.A great place took it's spot. Hope to be visit it more.Sam all was great and the hospitality was excellent,🐟🦀🗑️🎣💪🏾

very clean, vibrant atmosphere staff worked together and were attentive food was great except the overcooked pizza seating was tight when they sat the table behind me our chairs were definitely touching overall great experience
